Michael is a professional actor in the Los Angeles area. Since moving to L.A. in 2012, Michael has acted in commercials and short films, starred in a web series (Jewvangelist), performed with improv groups, and had roles on two major TV shows.The child of a professional actress/singer and a cantor/rabbi, Michael has been performing since a very young age. A proud D.C. native, Michael graduated from the Duke Ellington School of the Arts and later received his BA in Theatre from the University of Maryland. He has received additional training from UCB Los Angeles, iO Chicago, Lesly Kahn, Killian McHugh, The Voicecaster, Woolly Mammoth, and the Studio Theatre, among others. While still living in Washington DC, Michael was a founding member of the Flying V Theatre and an artistic associate at the Pointless Theatre Company, both winners of the Helen Hayes for Outstanding Emerging Theatre Company. He performed in a wide variety of productions in the DC area, in addition to directing and sound designing. Michael taught improvisation and general theatre skills across grade levels and is a proud alum of UMD's improv group, Erasable Inc. He also helped found Phatal Records, where he produced instrumentals for local hip-hop artists Blastphumis and Likeblood, under the name DJ Awkward Silence.Michael currently spends his time auditioning, training, performing, playing the occasional game of Dungeons & Dragons, and carefully combing through professional bios for typos. Michael lives with his incredible wife, Kaitlin, and obnoxiously cute dog, Weasley.
