FUNDAMENTAL ON-CAMERA INTENSIVE PROGRAM FOR KIDS (AGES 10-13)
Margie Haber Studio Prepares for Advanced Ongoing Intensive. This 12-week course for young aspiring and professional actors is focused on the Haber Philosophy of "living the life" in an audition context. Students will be introduced to the Haber Philosophy and learn to implement it by shifting their focus off of "performing" and onto the relationship, as well as by developing a specific imagination. Through a series of step-by-step exercises and "slices of life" (audition sides), students will learn to bring their most imaginative, intuitive and present selves to their auditions. All of their work is done on-camera and the "slices of life" are taken from television shows and films currently being cast. We cover all the major genres in both cold-read and call-back scenarios: Disney, 3-camera comedy, single camera comedy, procedural drama, and character driven drama. Students begin to understand the distinction of working on various kinds of material and how to bring their imaginations to that specific genre. This class lays the foundation for the work in the Advanced Ongoing Intensive.
