INTRODUCING TECHNIQUE INTENSIVE
Marjorie BallentineThese classes are designed to equip the actor with a solid, specific, and dependable craft that he will use throughout his career. In introducing character work through the processes of combining Meisner and Adler techniques, which Miss Ballentine studied intensively with the late Stella Adler, the actor learns the process of working not only from the inside-out but also from the outside-in: from using one's own internal experience and psychological point of view and beginning to apply the differences to the character's experience and psychological point of view. The Scene Study aspect of these classes teaches the technique of intensive script interpretation and its application to the rehearsal and performance process. Classes are ongoing.
