ADVANCED ON-CAMERA SCENE-STUDY WORKSHOP
Michael Knowles The Advanced On-Camera scene-study workshop is a very real, practical way for an actor to put to practice what they have learned in class and ultimately create a piece for their acting reel. The first step is an interview with Michael so that together Michael, together with each actor, can decide on the best type of material for the actor to work on. By the end of this meeting Michael will assign a scene for you. Step two is a rehearsal on location. Michael will explain very clearly what he expects of you for this first rehearsal and this will be treated more like a working situation and less like a class room situation, meaning, Michael will show up ready to direct and he will expect you to have done your preparation to be able to show up and work. Step three is the shoot. The shoot will happen on location with a very modest size crew. Depending on the location and scene the crew maybe just Michael. Michael's experience as a writer, director, producer and editor allows him to work extremely efficiently but at the same time getting incredible production values, as can be seen in the samples below. Step four is a final wrap up meeting with Michael to discuss the whole process and to get a final professionally edited Hi-Res quick time file of the scene, which you are able to use for your acting reel.
